My name is Helmut Eder.  That's me in the photo, doing what I love - taking photos of this beautiful planet under the starry sky.  I think the reason why I enjoy this so much, is because these photos provide some perspective about the earth and our place in the universe.  The images tell a story about this amazing oasis of life that exists amongst the infinite vastness of space - this type of perspective is not really possible during the day, where generally only the earth, moon and sun are visible.

Although night time photography is what I do the most - I don't do it exclusively.  In my gallery, you'll also see a few photos taken during daytime, interspersed among the night shots.  I do hope my photos tickle your fancy, and perhaps I could have the honour of gracing your walls with artwork that shows the world as I see it.
